I have to thank Mary Wandrausch, potter and artist for rekindling my interest in collage.
The exhibition held shortly after her death was a joyous combination of collage and paint reflecting her love of colour, found objects, her ceramics and an eclectic collection of objects d'art.
It has inspired me to look afresh at the objects made and collected that fill my home, and at long last to make good use of my extensive collection of mostly recycled papers that overflow from my desk.
It's so exciting to let a ticket, sheet of musical manuscript, a brochure, old photo, postcard etc set the
theme and then to spend many blissful hours, sometimes days, creating and changing a composition until it feels complete.
